Arihant Patni - Chief Executive Officer
Arihant
Patni is an entrepreneur, corporate executive and financial advisor who
has extensive experience in computer software, business development/marketing
and IT infrastructure. He has worked in India, the United States and throughout
Europe.
Arihant received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of
Pennsylvania in Chemical Engineering. He continued his education at Babson
College, where he received his Masters of Business Administration (Magna
Cum Laude), with a dual concentration in entrepreneurship and finance.
He then received a separate Masters Degree in Statistics from Columbia
University, with a concentration in quantitative finance.
Arihant began his career at Patni Computer Systems, where he had a broad
exposure to the business of the company, including consulting positions
in the computer software and human resources departments, as well as being
a business development and marketing executive. In the latter capacity,
Arihant was part of a team dedicated to the European market and worked
to increase global brand awareness for the Patni companies and products.
Subsequently, Arihant worked as a Business Strategy Consultant for Fidelity
Investments in Boston, where he led a finance systems strategy project
for one of Fidelity's companies, involving business process analyses,
systems re-design and solutions recommendations. He then worked as a Management
Consultant for Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he brought his computer
expertise to bear on projects relating to the enhancement the firm's electronic
security tools and protocols. Arihant was Vice-President for Business
Development for Raay Software, Inc., where he started the U.S. office
for a European software product company operating in the healthcare space,
developed the marketing campaign for the United States and conducted strategic
market analysis to build brand awareness.
In addition to his responsibilities at Bodhi, Arihant is also on the
Board of Directors of Patni Wealth Advisors Ltd, based in Mumbai, a wealth
management company that advises high net worth families on a wide range
of investment options such as debt, equity, real estate, art and third-party
funds. The company also provides administrative assistance in areas of
taxation, estate planning and cash management. Arihant has been instrumental
in launching the company's venture capital arm and is presently a member
of the Board of Directors of Patni Projects, an infrastructure company
setting up green field power generation projects.
Arihant is a member of the Board of Directors of Bodhi Global and is
resident in Mumbai.
Edward Burke - President
Ed
Burke has over fifteen years of experience handling complex commercial
litigation for large firms in New York and California. At Weil, Gotshal
& Manges LLP, he recently served as Joint Liaison Defense Counsel
on data/electronic document issues in a six-year RICO conspiracy action
brought by a class of all doctors against ten major healthcare insurance
companies. Ed co-led a team of attorneys and consultants to build and
deploy one of the largest joint litigation databases ever constructed
(over two billion lines of data from 22 different platforms) and supervised
the production and review of over three million documents. He also supervised
the reports and testimony of data-related experts. Weil's client, UnitedHealth
Group, prevailed on summary judgment. Ed recently had a key role on a
Weil team that estimated the fees and costs of the fraud litigation arising
out of the Adelphia bankruptcy. He also played a significant part in numerous
other cases at Weil, most notably: the first trade secret/First Amendment
action challenging the unlawful distribution of DVD encryption codes on
the Internet, leading to a groundbreaking First Amendment opinion by the
California Supreme Court; a four-year arbitration for Reuters against
Cantor Fitzgerald involving a contractual dispute over the posting of
debt security information on the Internet (won on summary judgment); a
Lanham Act trade dress action against H&R Block by Intuit (defeated
preliminary injunction leading to successful conclusion); a trademark
action brought against Wal-Mart by Fubu (successful conclusion); and ongoing
aircraft leasing litigation for GE Capital. In 2006, Ed was recognized
by the Legal Aid Society for Outstanding Pro Bono Service. At Brobeck,
Phleger & Harrison, Ed had substantial experience in the firm's products
liability and insurance groups, including major appeals for Shell Oil
Company (complete reversal of jury verdict after year-long insurance coverage
trial) and Owens-Corning (complete reversal of jury verdict in consolidated
asbestos personal injury actions). At Farella, Braun & Martel, Ed
focused on insurance and appellate matters.
Ed has also had a successful career as a film and theater producer. He
produced the Castle Rock/Columbia Pictures film Some Mother's Son,
starring Academy Award® nominee Helen Mirren (The Queen), which
premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and won the Young European Film
of the Year award. Ed also produced the documentary Teatro, which
premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was broadcast on the PBS prime-time
series "P.O.V," as well as the Obie-nominated play A Night
in November by Belfast writer Marie Jones at the Douglas Fairbanks
Theater in New York.
Ed is the former President of the Board of TheatreWorks, the largest
repertory theater company in the Silicon Valley, and a former board member
of Film Arts Foundation in San Francisco. Presently, he is a member of
the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Skylight Social Media in New York.
Ed received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law, where he
was the Chairman of the Moot Court Board, and his B.A. in Russian and
East European Studies from SUNY Binghamton. Ed is admitted to practice
in the States of New York and California and is resident in New York.
Suchorita Mookerjee - Director of Operations
Suchorita
has over a decade of rich and varied experience in various legal outfits
functioning as a legal consultant as well as spearheading operations.
She joins us from IBM where she was heading operations for their LPO vertical.
She was responsible for business development and end to end operations.
Prior to IBM, she was with WNS where she developed expertise in the Legal
BPO market for the UK especially in the areas of conveyancing, re-mortgage,
legal transcription and personal injury. She was responsible for the entire
life cycle of operations that included, hiring, training, managing and
developing the resources along with managing the client.
Prior to WNS, She worked with another legal off shoring unit, Mindcrest
India as a Consultant. Some of her contributions have been legal research,
law surveys and comparisons of the laws of various jurisdictions with
respect to U.S. and India federal and state case law, statutory law and
regulations and volume legal processing. She has also worked as an advocate
in a law firm, Chambers of Burzin Somandy.
Suchorita graduated in Commerce from Narsee Monji College, University
of Mumbai. She completed her Bachelors in Law from the Government Law
College in Mumbai and later finished a Masters in Business Law from National
Law School of India; Bangalore which is affiliated to the London School
of Economics and University of Hamburg. She has also credited to herself
a degree in Management Finance from the Indian Institute of Finance, Delhi

Percis
joins Bodhi with over a decade of valuable experience. She received her
masters in law from Columbia University (New York) in the year 2003.
She is a law graduate from Symbiosis Law College, Pune, India and a registered
solicitor with the Law Society of England and Wales.
Percis has worked with a few of Indias leading law firms where
she was advising and assisting clients on all aspects of international
and domestic commercial transactions and on various Indian commercial
laws, including foreign exchange regulations, structured entry
routes, and negotiated joint ventures. She has headed due diligence work
on potential target companies as well as companies engaged in a public
issue. She has drafted/reviewed various types of transactional documentation,
conveyance/lease agreements and other related documentation and has been
involved in alternative dispute resolution, including international commercial
arbitration, and the pre- and post-arbitral processes.
Percis has also assisted with the setting up of the Indian operations
of an international law firm, including recruitment, office administration
and all other corporate formalities associated with the business of the
firm. She written for and been published in a few legal magazines in Hong
Kong and Singapore.
Percis joins Bodhi as Head Quality and Training.
